How do I get access to my money when I'm in Germany?

Once you are in Germany and have completed the legitimation process, to access your blocked amount, you must open a current account through which you can make withdrawals and direct debits. This account can be opened at any bank of your choice in the SEPA area that provides you with an IBAN.

IMPORTANT: The blocked account that can be opened via Fintiba at Sutor Bank GmbH is not a current account that you can use for your daily business or expenses.

We have consolidated information on opening a separate regular bank account in the "Current Account" section in your Fintiba app.

Below we have provided a short infographic that outlines the most important steps you must take.

Process Overview
To summarize, your requirements:
  • You have uploaded your visa or equivalent document and our team verified it
  • Your legitimation is completed. Learn more below in 'related articles'.
  • You must have a German or another EU SEPA current account.
  • You must have a smartphone connected with your account
  • If we have asked you for additional legitimation, you have completed it
After that is done, you will receive all necessary instructions to receive your monthly payouts.

Note: For those who want to open a current account with a German bank, if you do not yet have a city registration, you can open a so-called " Basiskonto" or "Girokonto für Jedermann" in Germany. You can find more information about this here
