In some cases, due to internet connectivity or general connection stability issues, it might be that the video legitimation call with [verify-U] cannot be completed. However, of course, you are provided with alternatives for such cases. When clicking on “Video Legitimation” in the menu bar, you will further have the option to not only directly start the video call, but also to book an appointment with an agent from [verify-U]. Here, you have different options:
- Download the [verify-U] mobile App to your Android phone and start the video call from there (there is only an Android app available – an iPhone App is still under development)
- For iPhone users: you can schedule an appointment for a FaceTime call, by entering your Apple ID
- For Browser users: you can schedule an appointment for a further video call via the online interface in your web browser. We highly recommend to use the most recent version of Google Chrome.
Note: Note for users of the [verify-U] mobile App: to complete the video legitimation on the mobile App, you will be shown and sent a so-called “Ident-Token”. This token varies in length, however, always follows the scheme “XX-123456…” (two letters + “-“ + random combination of digits). You will find this “Ident-Token” on the webpage, where you booked your appointment for the video legitimation by mobile. Additionally, you will be sent an email to your registered mailbox which also contains the “Ident-Token”.
Important: Please restart your Android mobile phone after installation of the [verify-U] app, to allow the usage of microphone and camera. This is essential to ensure a functioning call with the agent.
