In general, there are 3 different types of account within the Fintiba Plus package, the coverage of each type is as follows:
Incoming Travel Insurance (MAWISTA Visum) – For those who are required to prove an incoming insurance to cover the time between the arrival in the country and the official enrolment date in your German University. With a cover of 92 days, MAWISTA Visum ensures that you are fully covered as requested by German regulations until you start your studies in your university, internship, etc.
Statutory Health Insurance (DAK) – This is the legal health insurance required by the German government for students who aim to obtain a study visa in Germany, managed by the medical insurance company DAK Gesundheit. This insurance will cover you during your studies in Germany after your official enrolment.
Private Health Insurance (MAWISTA Student) – MAWISTA Student Private Health Insurance covers those cases where you need a health insurance, but the statutory option is not applicable in your case based on German regulations.
