I have been asked to go through the video legitimation. How does it work?

If, during the legitimation process, you fall into a category where video legitimation is possible, then this will be the default legitimation option in your Fintiba App. It is a very simple and easy process. Here's how you do it:

Please note -

  • You should use the original passport that you used for opening your Fintiba account.
  • You should use the mobile phone number that you used during the start of your video legitimation.
  • The service time of WebID agents is between 7 am to 10 pm CET. 
Preparing for the call
  1. Have your passport ready
  2. Make sure you have the most updated version of iOS/Android (if you are using your phone)
  3. Log in to your Fintiba account and go to "Profile". Click "Video Legitimation" to start the call. A new tab for WebID will open.
During the call
  1. A good internet connection, a minimum of LTE quality, is a must for a successful video legitimation. Internet connections that are of 3G or lower speed, unfortunately, yield unsuccessful results.
  2. It is important that you answer the questions by yourself during the video call.
  3. Please remember that you have good, bright lighting. Using a flashlight is ideal. The video agent must be able to see you and your passport clearly. A quiet/undisturbed environment is highly recommended.
  4. During the video call, you will be asked to show your passport. Please follow the instructions on the same from your video agent.
  5. You will be asked for your e-mail and phone number to receive a code, which you must enter on the respective field on your screen to successfully complete the video legitimation! ✔
