How much does the Fintiba Plus package cost?

The Fintiba Plus package (i.e., the bundled solution including blocked account + health insurance) does not carry a separate “bundle fee” - you pay for the component products individually.

Fees for individual insurances (e.g. public health insurance, private student plans) remain priced according to the insurer’s rates or product terms and will continue to be billed directly or via your German current account, depending on local practice.

The prices for the individual components are as follows:

• Blocked Account: Initial setup fee € 159, monthly administration € 9.90

• Travel Health Insurance (MAWISTA Visum): FREE of charge (usually € 95.00)

• Health Insurance: The monthly fees for the various insurance products are as follows:

  • BARMER (Public Health Insurance): The payment of the fees starts after enrolling at university. In general, the tariffs of the insurer apply. Currently the tariffs are,

    • For persons under 23 years of age: € 146,29/month

    • For childless persons who are 23 years of age or older: € 151,42/month

  • MAWISTA (Private Health Insurance):

    • MAWISTA Student Classic

      • For persons under 30 years of age: € 28.00 /month

      • For persons between 30-39 years of age: € 44.00/month.

    • MAWISTA Expatcare Comfort fee

      • For persons until the age of 40: €95.00/month

      • For persons aged 41 to 55: €115.00/month

      • For persons aged between 56 and 60: €350.00/month

Important: You must pay for either governmental OR private health insurance - there is no case where you must pay both fees at the same time.
