How can I change the phone number linked to my Fintiba account?

Simply login to your Fintiba account and go to your "Profile" section, where you will see the option "Connected Smartphone". Here, based on your scenario, there are three ways to change your phone number:

1. You have access to your old number:

  1. Select Yes for the question "Do you still have access to your old number?" and press "Save Data".
  2. Enter the mTAN that you receive via SMS in your old number.
  3. Go back to your profile section, where you will see a new option "Disconnect Your Smartphone".
  4. Select Yes for the question "Do you want to disconnect your old phone number to connect a new smartphone?"
  5. Enter the mTAN that you receive via SMS in your old number.
  6. Go back to your profile section and connect your new number under the option "Connect Smartphone" by entering your new number and the mTAN that we SMS you on that number.

2. You do not have access to your old number but remember it:

  1. Select No for the question "Do you still have access to your old number?", then select Yes for "Do you remember your old phone number?".
  2. Enter your old phone number in the space that appears below. Then enter the mTAN you receive via SMS on your old number.
  3. Go back to your profile section and connect your new number under the option "Connect Smartphone" by entering your new number and the mTAN that we SMS you on that number.

Note: This works only if your old number is not German. If your old number is German, follow the steps in point 3 below.

3. You do not have access to your old number and you also do not remember it

  1. Select No for both the questions "Do you still have access to your old number?", and "Do you remember your old phone number?" and press "Save Data". 
  2. Press "Continue" on the red ribbon that says "Upload your phone change selfie".
  3. Upload a picture of yourself holding your passport and your new number written on a sheet by following the example and instructions.
  4. We will verify your information and picture in the next 1-3 business days. Upon successful verification, your old number is disconnected and you can connect your new number. 

Please note that these procedures are for your own safety, to ensure that nobody else is able to change the mobile number linked to your account.
