This article covers an overview of the frequently asked questions regarding making your transfer with TransferMate Payment - Domestic and International payment options.
Who is TransferMate?
TransferMate owns and operates the world’s largest regulated fintech payment infrastructure, making international payments simpler, smarter, and more secure.
Is there a time frame to make the transfer?
If you set up a Bank Transfer payment with TransferMate on your Fintiba Account you should initiate the transfer within 48 hours.
Note: The funds do not have to arrive by the due date, you just have to make sure that you initiate the transfer with your bank/transfer provider before that.
What happens if I can't make the transfer within 48-hours time frame ?
If you cannot make the transfer by the limited 48 hours time frame, the payment you initiated will expire. You will need to initiate a new payment from the Fintiba Account.
You can do this by navigating first to your Blocked Account section under Products in your Fintiba Account, then going to My payments, then initiating a new payment.
The amount you need to transfer will be updated with the up-to-date exchange rates, and you will have 48 hours to complete the payment that you newly initiated.
Can I make the transfer in multiple transactions?
Yes, you can make the transfer for your Blocked Account funds in multiple transactions. If you want to make the transfer in multiple parts, please set up multiple payments with the amounts that you plan to transfer.
What is real-time/instant payment?
Instant money transfer is available with payment methods such as Visa or Mastercard . This option is available only in a limited number of countries and might not be listed under the payment options when you set up your payment process on your Fintiba Account.
What are the benefits of using instant payment?
Fast money transfer: Your funds should arrive instantly, and you should receive your Blocked Account Confirmation within a few hours. Please note: Fintiba can't take responsibility for technical issues on the transaction provider's end.
How long does it take to receive my funds?
It can take 1-5 business days for your funds to arrive in your Blocked Account. Some payment methods will arrive instantly.
I've seen a better rate elsewhere - why should I use TransferMate?
The rate you see on places like Google or XE.com is called the mid-market rate. This rate is for companies that trade currency in bulk, and not for individuals.
If you paid through a bank instead, you'd usually pay the bank's own exchange rate plus a transfer fee on top.
With TransferMate, you get:
- Chosen and trusted by Fintiba
- Fast and safe way to send your money to your Blocked Account
- Pay in your local currency, no hidden costs
- Real-time tracking of your transfer, from start to finish
- Refund from Fintiba in case of visa rejection
What is the status of my TransferMate payment and how to check it?

- Registered - Your payment transfer is set up. TransferMate is waiting for your funds.
